Magnetic Poetry

Look in the mirror and repeat after me:

Nobody can lead like me

Nobody can lead like me

Nobody can lead like me

Now Believe:

Step 1: You are enough. You are complete

Step 2: It’s possible to show up with radical vulnerability

Step 3: I recognize abundance; we all can eat

Nobody can lead like me

Nobody can lead like me

Nobody can lead like me

Step 4: Speak the truth; Affirmations to re-wire my brain: (I am safe, I am complete).

Step 5: Wash. Rinse. Repeat; Stubborn patterns require heat

Step 6: Press in; Iron out the kinks

If you want to change, you have to believe

If you want to change, you have to believe

If you want to change, you have to believe

I trust me

I trust me

I trust me

I act in integrity

I act in integrity

I act in integrity

No one has answers to what’s best for me

No one knows my truth as intimately; It’s my vision

No one else can see

And Thank God for the women ahead of me

Illuminating this path with their herstories

Letting their bodies burn

Transforming themselves into pillars of light

Bearing the burden of night

That those of us who follow behind

Might have a chance to see ourselves

Yes as we seek, we come to find

These souls ahead who form our tribe

Us lost girls in the wilderness

Trekking through miles of brokenness

When suddenly, out of the mist

Emerges a mirror, most brilliant.

(Gasp) We catch our breath.

And that’s the moment when we see first her —

This woman, glorious.

Standing tall she is Free. Precious.

Unbound. A daughter whom

transformed her chains to beauty and truth

Escaping through a prism from the prison of her mind

Deepest scars become glittering lines

See; some people when you try to divide them

Only become more magnificent beams of light

She radiates love and witnesses, too

Close your eyes.

Tell me, What does she look like to you?

Do you see her Boldly? Beautifully?

Even softly?

Come to sit at her feet.

Place your hands to your heart

Listen closely

What does she whisper to you?

What love is reflected in her eyes as truth?

What does she offer?

Hold out your hands

Ask in openness to receive every gift

She bestows on you; say

I receive.

I receive.

I receive.

Practice the art of acceptance.

When you are filled, bring your hands back to heart center

Now repeat after me:

I have everything that I need

I have everything that I need

I have everything that I need

Recognize that each day

Is only the unearthing

I live faithfully

I believe, even when I cannot see

I trust that I have everything I need

Already, inside of me.
