“The Poet”

“Your words are testament that the poets are here to testify to the worlds pain, and to translate it into beauty. The poet transforms the untenable into the palpable. The poet digests the heavy metal truths of this life into that which we can choke down. Their words dignify our experience.” — Anonymous Poet

Mother Nature knows us. Yin flow comes gentle on the moonlit garden light, and the healing mist of dawn, and cooling whispered words of Moon Mamma settle in to hold us like worn woolen blankets. Their weight brings security. Their weight holds the warmth of every woman who walked this road before us. Every heart broken soul that loved and lost and wailed her ever-loving heart out somewhere in the wilderness. Or in a suburban home. Or in a grocery store bathroom, pounding on the stall door, shrieking in grief…or silently sobbing on the floor. We don’t control the moments emotion comes rushing in on us. Who are we to fight against the universes urge to flush ourselves clean of the pain and cry and cry and cry until we find a way to feel whole again. How do we combat the emptiness? How do we hold space in the void to allow darkness to wane, and to let the Light come in again? We do not have to be our own candle and our own flame. The only role we have to play is to be an open channel, and to do our best to hold the space.
